Our remote Interior Design services include room audits, concept design boards, built-in cabinetry designs and residential interior design. Design Elements aims to help homeowners transform their living spaces with professional guidance and creative solutions. 

How does a remote design service work?

With a remote design service, there is no need to meet in person. A designer can communicate via online channels and develop a design entirely from their own location. The client supplies details and requirements via email and video chat to create a design for the project. The designer uses design software to create a plan and visuals for the proposed design. All communication happens online. With this remote service, the designer can assist with projects all over the country and is not limited to projects in their own location.

We require a 60% deposit with the balance on completion for all projects.

The online kitchen design process:

Step 1: Project Details

A. Please send through an email indicating which design package you would like to go with, as well as your personal details for invoicing. We will provide you with a deposit invoice and after payment has been made you will receive a Kitchen Renovation Project Planner ebook* with a measurement guide and pages to help you brainstorm what you want/need in your kitchen. Please send these details and photos of your space (and house plan if you have a pdf) through before our video chat**.

*If you have previously purchased this ebook, the price will be discounted in your invoice. Discount codes from the ebook or subscription newsletter will also be applied to your invoice.

B. **We book and conduct a design brief video chat via our Discord server. We will discuss your goals, style, preferences and must-haves. We will discuss budget as a factor to the overall design.

Step 2: Concept Development

The designer does concept development and sends through the concept board, a basic sketch of the initial layout, and design suggestions. This is a check-in to make sure the design is on the right track.

Step 3: Design presentation communication with the Client. (balance payment invoice)

Step 4: Receive via email your Design Pack as per the package you selected.

Step 5: Send your complete Design Pack out for tender to 3 to 5 kitchen cabinetmakers to receive quotes. The designer will still be available to advise on the design provided – ie. if your chosen cabinetmaker needs further information
